Lien Huong has over 10 years of legal practice, including more than 4 years with a leading foreign law firm in Vietnam. Her areas of expertise include all aspects of corporate and commercial advisory practice, focusing primarily on mergers and acquisitions and regulatory advice on complex corporate issues in a broad range of industries.

Lien Huong holds a Bachelor of Laws from Hanoi Law University and a Master of Laws (LLM) from Vietnam National University. 

Lien Huong has advised on a broad variety of major transactions, including:

• advising international clients on numerous bankability issues for a multi-billion US Dollar 1200MW coal-fired BOT power project
• advising the sponsor in connection with the 600MW Nghi Son 1 coal-fired power project
• advising the sponsor in connection with the 600MW Thai Binh coal-fired power project 
• advising on a diverse range of cross-border acquisitions of Vietnamese listed companies in highly regulated industries
• advising a global investment and M&A organisation on its investment portfolio in Vietnam
• advising various private infrastructure investment, construction and engineering projects
• advising a major fund manager on legal due diligence and share acquisition of various hydropower projects in Vietnam
• advising a foreign bank on the structuring and documentation of FX and derivatives transactions in Vietnam
• advising a leading international oil company on its upstream projects and project documentation in Vietnam
• advising an international engineering and construction company on the establishment of a Joint Venture in Vietnam and providing advice on a number of corporate legal matters as part of its entry into the Vietnam market
• advising a major global investment fund management company on the legal aspects of lending to Vietnamese real estate developers, the loan security regime in Vietnam and the legal aspects of non-performing loan opportunities in Vietnam
